The Awoken are pretty much confirmed to be humans "awoken" by the Traveller, and not an entirely different race. Also, Exos are probably either cyborgs or human minds digitized and placed in robot bodies (so, not actually "robots" by the conventional connotation of the word).

Could you give a source as to where you heard that the Exos were entirely artificial robots and not cyborgs/human minds digitized and placed in robotic bodies? Also, *They're

  • Alright. One. They don't have any human fleash at all. Two in the ghost machines art gallery ur shows a company with the word Exo in it.looks like they made them. Also. The Exo are ancient war machines. Also are based off the undead.

First of all, they could be cyborgs with so little flesh left that they are only an upper body, head, or even brain encased in metal. Also, again, the digitized-human-mind-placed-in-robot-body thing could be true. Also, the concept art you're referring to said "Exoscience", which is the study of extrasolar planets (planets outside our solar system), and even if they did make Exos, that could still mean they just let people undergo the process of being one.

  • This actually helps me. :). I'm making my own universe. Now that we know exos are cyborgs. I can add robots in my sci fantasy that have emotion and so on. Thanks. I hope they are just cyborgs.

  • You're welcome. Honestly, I think it's a little more likely for them to be human minds digitized and placed in robot bodies, but that's pretty much the same thing as cyborgs, just without any flesh left.

  • Any source? I'll say it'd confirmed that they're all different races, that's why they call them races and not just different types of humans.

  • Then why do we call black people, white people, Asians, etc. different races? Also, if you say "well, I meant the fantasy/sci-fi connotation of race", there are a more than a few fantasy or sci-fi games where multiple of the races are different kinds of humans (for example, The Elder Scrolls).

  • Just explaining. I don't usually get mad in debates unless someone is repeating an entirely bullshit point repeatedly and not accepting evidence (and by repeating, I mean, like, 5 times or more).
