Dated Nov 1, 2013. Here is the continued IGN interview with Eric Osborne and David Dague. They discuss a wide range of topics. Don't get thrown off by IGN's grandiose title. Solid read.
FYI: The interview got a few details wrong. For example, he incorrectly explains the three weapon-slot system.

For those that missed it, here is "part one" of the interview:

Halo + Star Wars = Destiny Thats some math I can really get behind.
-
Star Wars treatment??? Does this mean that we will have our own Jar Jar in the game? Oh man, this will give me nightmares for months to come x(

I'm starting to hate these articles by IGN because all they seem to do is constantly compare it to everything else. I know Destiny has a few Halo similarities but they are few and far between, and here it's like they are blatantly calling it Halo. I love Halo, but all I ever see anymore is people berating a game that looks so amazing and unique. It's just constant comparisons that don't even exist, with the only reason being, "it's science fiction and a shooter, therefore it is a ripoff of every shooter and science fiction game."

Release date: December 31st, 9999...we've got quite the wait.
It's a place-holder

shotgun or fusion rifle; you’ll need to be in close in order to use them, but the devastation they cause is worth the risk.
So happy to hear that the shotty is not alone as the Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang CQC weapon this time.

read it. Not sure what to think about the Feb Beta. It could just be another IGN fail, or maybe not. I guess time will tell.
-
Consequently, a beta is planned for February next year.
Is this a confirmed month of release for the beta!? All I've heard is spring, but Luke Karmali at IGN flat out says February. Was this said by Bungie in their interview, or is this just IGN throwing out non confirmed information again?
