I've done some reading recently, a few research articles on an "intelligence gene." Most research right now says that IF the gene(s) are found it would be extremely hard to find. If found the genetics of this trait would be extremely complex. Others also say it's 50% nurture, and 50% nature. This got me a little sad to be honest. Does that mean someone born into a wealthy family with genes that excel in cognitive, mathematical abilities etc. going to be more intelligent me no matter what? That means by birth there are people who no matter how hard I try someone will be smarter than me, because of genes. So genetically to someone in Mensa I'm inferior. Perhaps, is it that I can be as smart as someone born intelligent and brought up in wealthy family that can afford an above average, but I'll have to work harder? So Flood, what is your opinion on this do you believe that some people are born more intelligent than others, because if true GATTACA seems like a possible vision for the future.
