I'd definitely pay for it.
So long as it was a similar price to other on-demand services like Netflix or Lovefilm, and so long as it was 'better' in some way than iPlayer at the moment, I'd be happy to pay.

To be fair it can't be the same price. Why? Because it needs to continue funding it's shows, channels and radio channels as well as a bunch of other things. If we pay less the BBC will do less.

I guess that depends on exactly how many people stop watching telly completely. The only reason I'm ok with paying the hundred-odd pounds for a TV license is because with that I get hundreds of channels other than the BBC to watch with it. It isn't worth paying that sort of money for just the 6 or 7 BBC shows that I do watch, considering I could save that money, watch the other shows for free on their respective on-demand services and buy the DVDs when they come out and watch them then .(which I would probably do anyway) There needs to be a bigger incentive for me than the iPlayer in its current form.

Edited by lonepaul2441: 10/7/2013 3:06:39 PMErm your aware that if you don't pay the TV licence you don't get the BBC but you can get every other channel right? No licence means your left with ITV, channel 4, Channel 5 and what ever is on your freeview box/cable provider.

Well that was rather obvious I'm not sure how I didn't know that... Nevertheless, I still think it seems a bit much considering the inferiority of the iPlayer platform to other similar services. Take 4OD for example; I can watch an entire Chanel 4 series from 6 years ago if I want to, whereas with iPlayer I am constricted to currently airing series and shows from the past week or two (on the Xbox version at least). I'm quite happy with paying for it, but for the same amount as a TV license it needs to be worth it and at the moment I really don't think it is.
