Prophet would completely destroy a Spartan. But if it's just a regular soldier in a Nanosuit, a Spartan would be matched but would likely come out as the victor.

 • How would Prophet win? (I have played Crysis 1 and 2, but not 3. I only played the first mission and stopped because of the audio issues).

 • Because he is insanely powerful. He gives the Nanosuit 2.0 to Alcatraz to stop him from dying, Prophet kills himself, the Nanosuit 2.0 essentially becomes a part of Alcatraz's body, and then somehow a part of Prophet's conscience was saved in the Nanosuit 2.0 and Alcatraz "became" Prophet.

 • Just to clarify, that doesn't make him
insanely powerful
• Here are a few feats. Since Alcataraz and Prophet are wearing the same suit (and essentially the same person at this point) I'mma take feats from both. Alcatraz managed to throw somebody at 60mph, which is a higher strength feat than anything a Spartan-II has ever canonically demonstrated. Later, Prophet casually tossed a motorcycle at a VTOL. Al shrugged off several gauss rounds, making his suit more durable than MJOLNIR. Later, Prophet shrugged off HMG fire without Armor Mode. At the end of Crysis 3, Prophet survived a fall from space. It was much more than John's puny two kilometers, and he didn't have a piece of forerunner metal to protect him. Did I say the suit is more durable than MJOLNIR? I meant the Nanosuit 2 is a -blam!-ton more durable than MJOLNIR. I'd probably give speed to the Spartan...which is fine, since nothing they have is any significant threat to anybody wearing an N2.

 • Not saying that the Nanosuit 2.0 is inferior, Nor Prophet or Alcatraz. But during 75% of Crysis 2, Al was pretty much dead in the suit. Keep in mind MJOLNIR power armor is also around half a ton in weight. Also Spartan II's can move a M808B Scorpion Tank which has a mass of 66 metric tons. Honestly I just think the universes are incomparable. I can sit here all day and tell you how Chief is better in my opinion and you could probably do the same for Al. I'd say the Nanosuit is better machine, but Chief makes the better man inside. Without suits, Chief is extremely superior according to canon standards. With nearly unbreakable bones, super-human speed, incredible strength, and much more combat seniority its just a given. While Al is a skilled marine, (I think) he just isn't on par with Chief.

 •
But during 75% of Crysis 2, Al was pretty much dead in the suit
Yes, and the suit not only kept him alive but still turned him into an unstoppable killing machine.
Keep in mind MJOLNIR power armor is also around half a ton in weight
Which is remarkably impractical. Lighter armor would assist in movement and stealth, especially during a firefight where you need to keep moving.
Also Spartan II's can move a M808B Scorpion Tank which has a mass of 66 metric tons.
They might be able to flip one, which takes much less force than physically lifting or pushing/pulling one. And Al/Proph could do the same.
I'd say the Nanosuit is better machine, but Chief makes the better man inside.
Oh, yes, definitely. John is still a badass augmented sailor under his suit. Al is a half-dead cripple who would die in seconds without his suit...and Prophet is a corpse.
Without suits
Why wouldn't Prophet have his suit?

 • Well exactly, thats why I feel they're incomparable. The Halo universe is more realistic in terms of it being battle armor, but the Nanosuit is more of a fictional canon battle armor. While Chief would be obliterated from a Scorpion Tank shot, Al could withstand it in terms of Crysis Canon. Also I don't think Al could flip a Scorpion, but thats just me. While MJOLNIR is impractical for weight, it provides shielding technology. It also wasn't made for specific run & gun through missions, but more for tactical insertion and elimination. And Idunno why Al/Prophet and Chief wouldn't have their suits, but I was just saying

 • I exaggerated. But he would roflstomp a Spartan.

 • Spartan 3 or 4 maybe. But someone like Chief or Kelly would probably tie/win.

 • Chief was pretty average when it came to the Spartan-IIs. There were other S-IIs that were much better than him.

 • Yeah, but Chief has some of the most experience on the field. With a little pinch of luck.

 • The only reason Chief was able to do what he did is because he was "destined" to do it.

 • He may have had a Geas imposed on him by the Librarian, but Chief still accomplished everything by himself with Cortana. Its not like he could fly with space magic, throwing fireballs and whatnot.

 • He already had a Geas, and was "destined" to be what he is.

 • I know. I wasn't stating that makes him the best or anything, I was just saying he always manages to prevail every situation.

 • I know, because of his Geas. But what I'm saying is a Geas doesn't DO it for you. Chief manages to prevail those situations on his own. Bornstellar had a Geas, but he still had to make his own decisions leading him along his own path.

 • Yes, but he was destined to do what he can, so the Geas does help him. If he wasn't "destined" to be what he is and do what he does, he would have died years before.
