It may be as simple as a comprehensive release schedule, assuming that the collector's cards are, in fact, a "thing".

In any case I like the focus on print media collectibles – posters, in-fiction logo shirts, cards, etc. It's classier than the more otaku-tier stuff – toys, dolls and sculpts – IMHO.

Agreed. It would take a very industrious person or persons to collate all the info too. Heaven knows where such a one could be found. ;) Ties in nicely with their in-house fondness for card trading games and the like too.
