Does anyone know what the symbol in the center of this cloth means? I've researched my ass off and the closest character I found was "pig". I hope that isn't what it means... :P
EDIT: I think it may mean happiness.

It's a stylized 福 ,meaning good luck or fortune. Used in both Chinese and Japanese.

Edited by joinyus2013: 9/18/2014 1:18:33 PMIt means " good fortune ", in China, this symbol is usually posted on doors or windows during Chinese new year to pray for good fortune in the next year.

That is the Chinese character 福 (fu) which means good luck or good fortune.
