You have been at a party underage, you stole something or even driving? My 1st year of driving I got pulled over by a cop and he told me my MOT expired like 3 months prior to getting pulled over. I just told them I got my car the previous christmas as a present, it was in the garage getting a service and me and my family assumed the MOT was done as well. So they let me go as long as I got the MOT certificate, valid insurance and my license and went down to the station to prove I have it all. Messed up the documentation had to go back like 4 times because I was sloppy with my documentation and went over my time limit of 24 hours. The cop didn't say anything because she knew it was the 1st time I have been in this situation and I guess my appearance doesn't shout "Prick" more like "Scared"
