So, with the three weapon slots, I didn't quite understand what Urk said there.
Is the "heavy" slot not a quick-swap? Also, the IGN post-demo wrap up makes it sound like your Heavy weapons will have something kind of ammo-restriction. Which makes sense and creates even more questions at the same time. Haha.

"[b]most probably[/b] in its ammo or reload times." From the IGN wrap up, it sounds like they think there will be a limit, but they do not know. Nor do they know what will be limited. I personally think reload times will be long, but that's about it..

Yeah they'd have to be restricted. Not a quick swap, I believe it's press and hold to swap out. Utility, favoured weapon and heavy I took it as.

Yeah it makes sense. They has to be some kind of system in place to keep people from running around with rocket launchers all the time. I imagine this is part of it.

Seems as though heavy weapons are the heavy hitters, as Gjallarhorn (Rocket Launcher) and that thundergun (Heavy Machine Gun) are within the same class. You hold to switch to a heavy weapon and the other two, assault rifle and whatever you choose are your quick switch.
