343 designed the campaign to be understood whether or not you've read the books. Your reaction is exaggerated. The books however do add context and to story lovers appreciate that.
343 designed the campaign to be understood whether or not you've read the books.
Well, they did a poor job at that.
-
Not at all.
-
Then why was nothing explained?
-
What wasn't explained?
-
Who was the Didact?
-
Cutscene with the Librarian.
-
What is this "Storm Faction" and why do they care about nothing but killing us? Why are the Prometheans acting with such hostility? what is the importance of their color change? The forerunners were originally supposed to be the protectors, but all this crap about the Didact hating us and trying to kill us mindlessly... they not only changed the original story but hardly gave us any information as to what this new crap is.
-
Story didn't change, our perspective evolved as more information was made available- that's great story telling. As for those questions? Most are answered in game or thru terminals.
our perspective evolved As for those questions? Most are answered in game or thru terminals.
No it didn't, maybe yours did, but that's probably because the only thing you played was the linear campaign, and read books that were made under 343. None of those were answered the terminals. This ignorance crap all the Halo 4 fanboys is really starting to just make me want to stop coming here.
-
I've been here from the beginning... it's not being a fanboy... it's have a deeper understanding for the game AND plot in general.

For Halo 4 and 343i's idea of it yes. As for Old World Halo, you know, the one before 343 made it their own, no.
