Religions in Destiny

In the Destiny Universe, Space Magic is a thing. It's Magic. Straight-up, unadulterated magic. It hasn't been presented as "plasmids" or "fire-ball-shooting technology", just magic. How do you think the people of The City would react to this? I think it's pretty obvious that, when confronted with a source of magic, there would be a religion (or several) that would spring up. I think especially Warlocks would be highly likely to practice or at least believe in a religion surrounding the Traveler. So, what do you guys think? Should religion, if not play a role, at least be mentioned in a Universe where it would most definitely exist?

We're talking about the last human city..., ever. If the concept of this game revolves around humanities desperate survival on the edge of total extinction I would think that humans would completely transcended any and all constraints that serve to separate including race and religion. It seems like with the event of a common enemy and in the face of total annihilation people would set aside any all difference and come together for a common goal. In my opinion guardians will be seen as heros and legends but not Gods for idol worship. Guardians will represent the legend inside of everyone.
