Religions in Destiny

In the Destiny Universe, Space Magic is a thing. It's Magic. Straight-up, unadulterated magic. It hasn't been presented as "plasmids" or "fire-ball-shooting technology", just magic. How do you think the people of The City would react to this? I think it's pretty obvious that, when confronted with a source of magic, there would be a religion (or several) that would spring up. I think especially Warlocks would be highly likely to practice or at least believe in a religion surrounding the Traveler. So, what do you guys think? Should religion, if not play a role, at least be mentioned in a Universe where it would most definitely exist?

  • I say it's highly likely that certain groups within the city may have formed religions. Humanity has been struck down, is protected by a nearly omnipotent volleyball, and has been introduced to arcane space energies. If people can form religions around a dude supposedly healing the sick, dying from a certain grisly ancient execution method and rising from the dead 3 days later it's a near certainty someone would make a religion based around the events in Destiny. Maybe some even worshiping the Traveler as a god. Wouldn't mind having to defend the City from a demented death cult either.
