Without spoiling anything, I will say that I enjoyed Bioshock Infinite's story for obvious reasons. Maybe the reason I didn't enjoy Bioshock's story over Infinite is because in Bioshock you were a faceless and speechless protagonist, but in Infinite you played as a character that actually spoke which gave Infinite more character than Bioshock.

That's why the protagonist remained unnamed. To give your character less meaning or to dehumanized the character, in Bioshock.
