Destiny Will NOT deliver Exclusive Content on Xbox One?
Bungie. My favorite company of all time... Why did you abandon us? By us I'm reffering to the Xbox community. Did we ever abandon you? Even when the PS3 community were always trash talking about Halo which is a game that YOU guys made. Now, all of a sudden, every PlayStation fanboy are uniting and encouraging you more than ever. Why is that? Of course, because you guys recently made somewhat of a partnership with Sony also bringing EXCLUSIVE content to Destiny just for the Playstation. But wait, what are we getting? What is the Xbox community that has supported you guys since the beginning getting? And I am aware that many Xbox 360 gamers are moving to PS4 because of the E3 results. But guess what? I'm not. And neither are the hundreds of thousands that have supported you over the years and still are as of today. And I am proud that my favorite company is gaining fans day after day, but I have a feeling that you guys forgot about us. I know your contract with Microsoft ended when Halo: Reach was over the top. I even remember Bungie Day, which was the last time we ever got to have that once in a year event many of us including myself enjoyed. Of course now, that won't exist ever again. That's why we have memories. Awesome memories. So if any of you Employees read this, I hope in comes in mind that we still encourage you guys to succeed in your future games and events. But I want you guys to promise me something, never, I mean EVER, let down your Xbox fans. Thank you.

Edit 6/18/2013: Hey guys, I've noticed much hate on this Topic. Many of you Misunderstood what I'm trying to say. So here is a simplified version of the text above if it helps...
- I'm Not Mad at Bungie.
- I'm trying to ask if they can bring exclusives to Xbox 360 or Xbox One.
- Bungie Is My Favorite Company.
- I'm aware of Bungie's and Microsoft's relationship.
- I do KNOW they CARE because of they are developing the game for many Platforms.
- I'm geting both Xbox One and PS4, clearly stating i'm not hating on neither console.
And this wasn't in the topic, but for those of you saying that Xbox did not make any of Bungie's fan base, it kind of REALLY did, honestly. And not to forget, the PC gamers as well. And to end this edit, I want to give a warm welcome to the Playstation community for once having a game made by the best developers yet, Bungie. This is going to be one LONG generation of gaming... :')

Anyways, I will not respond to those who think are badasses for posting a hate comment, so if you do, congratulations, you are officially a badass. And for those who understand what I'm actually doing here, I will respond. So give yourselves a pat on the back. And if you haters/smartasses are wondering why I won't be responding, it is because I don't have the time to really respond to a bunch of bullshit that doesn't make any sense. I agree. And not just for destiny. I am getting tired of so many developers releasing content for only one platform. Most of the time it's early releases but in some instances it's specific content for only one. Other times its entire games. I pre ordered destiny for Xbox because I love it and that is where all my friends are. But I also have a ps3, and I really want that content. It may seem like a trivial problem but it is actually a quite difficult decision that happens to me on A LOT of games. I truly hope Bungie doesn't abandon the Xbox community on this one.

Bungie doesn't have a choice in exclusive content right? Isn't that Activision's choice? This may sound stupid but I think I understand you in some ways. I was always in the playstation nation. Played kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 on ps2. Which I then realIzed they branched out to handheld systems and continued the story, I wasn't too happy about it. Now kingdom hearts 3 is finally here after all these years of waiting and it's no longer the promised exclusive I believe. But in the end it's better that everyone has the chance to experience the series and I hope both sides get the same content. Though I can see kh3 getting exclusive stuff on ps4. Which is kinda like how all the halo games on Xbox and then you expect Xbox Destiny exclusives. So maybe bungie wanted too? Maybe they didn't have a choice? Maybe they wanted to brach out to playstation and pull more people in? The bigger the player base the better. Okay I know this went all over the place. I'm half asleep typing this right now hahha. So I have no idea what I just typed. Good luck understanding it. :D

I think it's about time that companies stopped developing exclusive content for specific consoles. I hope more developers follow suit.

4 RepliesReally? I mean really? The ones who supported since the beginning. Hopefully others will make it clear to you why that's wrong. And again, really, whining that you want this exclusive content when you should be grateful to have the game at all (unlike PC gamers). Those playstation fans who bashed halo all the time. Did you even know real ps gamers most of whom had respect for the xbox and its affiliates (like bungie that most people respected for halo) or only the haters online cause they are very tiny percentage. Do you really think that bungie doesn't care about its fans? They care but you know what maybe they decided they should do something for those they want to be those fans with great memories. You have yours now let others have theirs and if you can't enjoy what you're getting already I don't know what to say.

1 ReplyThe ps3 community only talked trash because they didn't have Halo. I knew many sony fans who would love to have Halo on the ps3. Be happy that you are still having destiny on the xbox. I think Bungie even realizes M$'s latest console the xbox one sucks...Not to mention they only made Halo exclusive to xbox because they were becoming bankrupt and M$ contracted with them (so bungie could gain money and M$ could have an exclusive but no one expected Halo to be this popular so ye...Bungie didn't want to make the game exclusive...).

You know what Playstation is never going to get though? An awesome ten years of halo and Bungie we had all to our selves. Be happy with what you had and what you will have. Bungie's loves us.

8 RepliesWell you won't be playing Halo 5 on Xbox 360 either as it's Xbox One only. So has 343 / MS let you and me (I have an Xbox 360 too) with that announcement for H5 or Titan Drop or several other "Exclusive" titles. Your forgetting that Bungie and other independent companies are now free to support as many platforms as they want too, which is a good thing for older and newer console owners. So Destiny will be available for Xbox 360, PS 3, PS 4 and Xbox One - which is 3 platforms more than H5 will be available for. And if MS is serious about gaming, they can drop the Kinect / Cable Box stuff, produce a pure Game console that will match Sony's $399 price point, get rid of the "connect once a day" stuff and any restrictions on "Re-selling Games" to match Sony. Unless they are price and feature competitive - they are in for a rough ride come Christmas 2013 (we are still in a recession).

6 RepliesAs a former Xbox fan since the original Xbox, let me tell you right now that you are being oblivious to the current situation, let me explain. In 2001 we got Halo, Halo was one of the gems in everyone's Xbox library, it was the REASON to get an original Xbox. Oh wait just a second, why did people get Xbox to play Halo? Because it was EXCLUSIVE, yes not on PS2, or Gamecube, EXCLUSIVE. What is the root word of "exclusive"? Why it's exclude of course, so basically 2 entire communities of gamers, one of which was more than 100 million strong, were excluded from Halo. It can be argued that because of Halo's exclusivity, Xbox survived, and because of Halo 2's exclusivity, LIVE took off. Halo 3, ODST, Reach, all exclusive. And to this day, the second Halo trilogy is still exclusive. Okay, so now Bungie quit Halo, good for them IP was clearly getting bland and is running on fumes right now and they wanted to try something new. They could've done an exclusive deal with Sony, they could've propelled the PS4's sales even further, they could've excluded hundreds of millions of players again, but what did they do? What did they do OP? Not only did they include the Xbox One, they were even more inclusive, to the point that even the Xbox 360 AND the PS3 will enjoy Destiny. Your argument is not only flawed but is completely full of hypocrisy, you, someone who was included for 2 entire generations by Bungie and got to play an amazing IP now don't want to be slight, and I mean slightly excluded. If you feel so inclined to enjoy the extra content, you can buy a PS4. And keep in mind that the Xbox fans did not make Bungie, Bungie made the Xbox fans, if they had never made an exclusivity contract with Microsoft, the Xbox would simply not have had the foothold it has now.

3 RepliesWell the two biggest reasons that I'm seeing ps4 exclusive content are that the system can handle it, or maybe it is a show of good faith. For all we know the content might be a weapon, a character, or even a piece of armor. Being that Bungie hasn't made playstation games in a long time, it might be a show of good faith for a renewed union. It is also already stated the game itself will look best on ps4, but maybe it can handle more content as well. After all the system was built with and for the developer's use just as much as it is for our playing.

let alone think of call of duty one month before ps3 maps and other games to its about time a company broadens their horizons. its also best for their company to now make games for multiple platforms versus one.

Shut up already. You are barely worth talking to OP. There are so many faults in your argument. First, activision are the guys who make that call. In their eyes, does it make any sense to focus call of duty ghosts and destiny on Xbox just because Xbox has "bungie experience"? So the focus COD on Xbox and destiny on Playstation. Secondly, Microsoft was bungie's publisher for halo. So do you really think that bungie decided to exclusively make halo for Xbox and to avoid a community 100 million strong? And also what makes you think that you are entitled to special treatment? And why in -BLAM!- did you decide to make this pointless thread? To complain about how you aren't getting exclusive content? It's you kind of people who really annoy me. And I'm not some Playstation fanboy. I actually am an Xbox fan.
