Why is Bungie sending our data to Google!?

So I was browsing Bungie on Firefox and something in the corner caught my eye. After checking again it confirmed my fear: Whenever I load a page on Bungie.net something is going to Google. I took two well-timed screenshots and cropped them together in MSPaint. This never used to happen! EDIT: Thank you for the explanation, Achronos and Recon Number 54.

Yeah, there are other cross-site requests such as Facebook, Twitter, and Addthis as well. There are some ways to deal with it though. The addons NoScript and RequestPolicy allow for the javascript and cross-site requests to be blocked. Another way is do what dazarobbo suggested by blocking them through AdBlock Plus. This would probably be the better option since NoScript and RequestPolicy break a lot of sites and they aren't really easy to use. On a similar note, I remember this topic that daz made a while back. Seeing as how there are facebook buttons on the top of every thread now, wouldn't Facebook be able to link those threads you enter to you if you are signed in. Personally I find that frightening and would love a way to opt-out of the social media buttons like I suggested on my alt in the above linked thread.
