Although, I'm not particularly knowledgable in this specific area, I'm just curious as to how the atmosphere of some of these planets works. If I'm correct, Mars' atmosphere is basically gone, so wouldn't that make it difficult for us to survive, even momentarily, on Mars? Unless we terraform, but seeing as its been awhile since we've been there (canonically), I'm not sure how that technology would still be working. Besides, the enemies we will encounter there seem pretty anti-human and might destroy that equipment. I've heard things like face masks and whatnot, but even still, intense sun light is harmful to our skin, even with armor. Let me know what you guys think.

Throw all science and logic out the window and whenever someone asks a question about it just say Terraforming.

One word, Terraforming

mars is colder then earth, so i don't think we have to worry about the intense sunlight and heat...

Maybe with the arrival of the traveler and the other aliens the atmospheres of the more hostile planets changed somehow so that they were more human/alien friendly. Eg. Venus is supposed to be super hot, covered in active volcanoes and has acidic clouds and mists covering it that essentially pump up the greenhouse gas effect 300000%. ( I think I heard somewhere we actually landed a probe on Venus, but it corroded and melted within twenty minutes, don't take my word on that) Maybe when the traveler came and began the "Golden age" it used it traveler magic or whatever and made the planets more livable, because supposedly the Vex now inhabit Venus and in the concept art it appears like a very fertile, lush jungle planet.

Well, you're always wearing you're armor, so that you can breathe on other planets. The armor probably has some pretty advanced solar shielding, also.

I don't know about jupiter but I think Mercury can be walked on. Perhaps (and this is a theory) that we may have space stations around those planets.
