Bounty Hunting
Faction Wars will undoubtedly be awesome, campaign will probably be remembered for the rest of our lives...
But what was the 'Collect a Bounty' selection in the menu screen all about? I can't find any information on this.
Could it possibly mean an open world, solar system wide, bounty hunting PvP dream come true? The endless possibilities of having a bounty on an actual player constantly on the run, hopping planets, hiding out on moon bases, or randomly trying to buy a weapon from one of the merchants in the peaceful last city on Earth. Guilds/clans offering supreme amounts of credits to catch this evil person.
What about allowing PvP vulnerability when in bounty hunting mode? Maybe you and a buddy need some extra cash, find the guy having a drink in a bar, (The prey obviously has vulnerability turned on because he is the one with the bounty) your buddy flanks right and blocks the exit with his 50 caliber sniper rifle, you slip in behind and put a knife to his throat. All the while everybody is going about their business.
Thoughts?
Bungie wants 10 years out of this game, I think as the audience and players it's kind of our job to spawn ideas for them so we keep coming back for more

You could choose to be an outlaw working for factions constantly but never joining one. Assassinating faction leaders and stealing documents but always on the run from the many people seeking revenge...

And maybe it can be a 24 hour bounty but the troll has 5 minutes real time after he spawned to run, after those 5 minutes he is flagged as free to kill. Troll hunting anyone?

Bounty hunting could be a fun system. If Bounty Hunting is properly in Destiny I give it a week until there's a load of people in 'pirate crews' going all One Piece on everyone.

Man thats Genius! But bungie would have to make it veerrryyyyy tempting to break the law(or something worth recieving a bounty) otherwise no one would do anything since no one wants to be randomly assassonated whilst they go about their buisness.

I very much hope we can make a living in Destiny by hunting down evildoers. A steep penalty for crime will do wonders for keeping the streets clean.
