If there was a giant orb floating over my city by some unknown mechanism that if messed with could fall and crush the last remnants of my species, I'd be hesitant to climb in and do random things to it also.

Yep I can totally see humans messing with that thing, an it crushing what's left of us because we got sucker punch sooooo hard it brought us to near extinction by mystery evil Aliens. Wait a minute with our track record on our own planet I can see us pissing some powerful aliens off an them kicking our ass. Just my OP sorry to get of topic but yea I agree I wouldn't mess with the floating Orb over the Last human city. This is we're they should start building more city's that main ones a trap waiting to go wrong

Very true. With our current string of luck in that universe, we would probably knock out the anti-grav drive.
