In the Law of the Jungle trailer, the hunter did, admittedly get the most face time, so I get why people are talking about the hunter more than anything.
But am I the only one here that lost it when the warlock was slinging spells and charging up what looked like a pocket-nebula at the end of the video?
Admittedly I am partial to warlocks and magic-y types in general, but I'd love to hear what other people are thinking about the warlock, and to find my fellow scholar's and spell weavers on the 7th column.

I am definitely going to for Warlock.
-
Somewhere down the road im sure they will make like Class Spotlight Trailers or something.
-
All the warlock needs is a light saber and we have a Jedi :D
-
I had to get new pants when I saw the warlock...
-
Warlocks have trench coats, assault rifles, space ships and hadoukens. I can't think of reasons to play anything else XD
-
to balance the warlock im pretty sure that their weapons if they are exclusive will have a high ROF but small mags. this way they will have to depend on their magic more often.
-
I like them, hopefully they're not o.p.
-
I like Warlocks over the other classes so I feel you
-
There was a part where the Hunter knocks a dude on his ass then shifts position with the Warlock and he throws a spell. Greatest thing about that trailer.
-
I know man, I hope they have a lot of cool back story like the Jedi do.

Edited by What Up Essay: 5/28/2013 4:43:19 PMI did not know I was a Warlock until I saw Destiny.

I too am magic-y person and lean towards the Warlocks more. But yeah when the Warlock through his magic at the bad guys I got pretty excited. 'Specially at the end when he charges it up. Makes me wonder if there will be various types of spells such as instant casts, charged spells (get more powerful the longer you charge; possibly could mix with insta-casts), and channel spells (constant effect from the spell once cast, like a constant beam of healing energy).

Am I the only one who sees a really surprised face in that guy's hood/helmet?
-
Definitely going to be a warlock. Or a hunter. But probably a warlock.
-
I hope they show each individual class in a trailer
-
I saw his haduken at the end. Pretty F-ing awesum.

I'm excited for the warlock as well, although I am more than partial to mage-ish classes. Its the most infuriating thing I find in most RPG's in that magic is never handled perfectly (either over powered or under powered, and commonly less focused on. Usually don't scale as well [all in my opinion]). I've always loved magic users since playing Hexen (admittedly I see a few parallels between Destiny and Hexen). I'm mostly curious to see how it will play out. I get the feeling Bungie wants the 3 classes to be very broad, and cover many different play styles. Although I have a slight fear the warlock will be mostly forced into one or two roles. That fear is probably based more on my past experience (however biased it might be) rather than anything else. I just fear that, with such a reliance on spells, there might not be a great enough variety to allow the warlock to fill as many roles as a titan or hunter could. [/worry] I'd like to see more "arcane" spells rather than elemental. Note that you can probably replace the word arcane with plasma and space distortion field and it should be accurate enough. I want to see offensive balls and bolts (balls create AoE, bolts single target?) certainly. I'd like to see some shields as well, maybe light teleportation (read:blink). I don't want to see a lot of buffs (proportionally), as buffs are great for everyone but are pretty boring for spellcasters in my opinion, although I could imagine some good ones (time alteration bubbles, such as a slowing bubble and a quickening bubble). I certainly want some healing. Some enemy manipulation would be nice (mind control, maybe demoralizing). Even decoy spells, such as a group of 6 guardians appears as 18 guardians or something. I would like to see an option for warlocks to be more battle-mage, or more pure-mage. Such as, a "battle-warlock" can use weapons effectively but has less spells unlocked and maybe a smaller or slower regenerating mana pool, where as a "pure-warlock" is more effective with spells but isn't effective with weapons. One is less vulnerable but sees less benefits of being a warlock, the other sees the maximum effectiveness of a warlock at the cost of being vulnerable. By vulnerable I mean less physically durable, and less useful without mana. This could be an example of how different warlocks can evolve, like how titans might evolve towards more effectiveness with heavy weaponry, CQC, or fire support (not the best example).

The warlock is by far the class I am looking forward to the most and I have to agree with you. When I Saw the warlock start charging up that spell at the end, I completely lost it!
-
Futuristic version of a dovahkin!!
-
I saw that too and I'm totally being a warlock
-
Yeah, I've been more in to mage-like classes in my RPGs lately. I also like the armour. Titians get the occasional scarf/waist cloth(?) Hunters get capes Warlocks get robes The Hunters have had some cool armour setups, but robes are just too badass.
-
Such a shame we didn't see more space magic, but from what I saw it was awesome, I always play mage characters in games there is now better way to kill someone than with a huge fireball in the face.
-
How I see Warlock powers.
-
Exo Warlock? Yes yes yes.
-
I would pick a warlock but it's just the 20% armor over the 80% of clothing. I don't like being squishy classes .-.
