Halo 2. Roach is wrong.
-
Halo: CE for campaign, Halo 2 for campaign and multiplayer, Halo 3 for campaign, multiplayer and forge, Halo: Reach for the origins of Halo, Halo: ODST for the same reason, Halo: Wars too and finally... Halo 4 for... For.. Halo 4 is really a bad Halo.
-
I liked Halo 2 and Halo 3 the most out of any Halo game.
-
Halo 3. The multiplayer is what made it. The community was great, many of my friends played it, and it was a non-stop roller coaster of goodness for 3+ years.
-
Can't help but say I'm a bit biased, I started with Halo 3 and I've happily wasted more than two months (1440+ hours) of game time. Even still when I'm frustrated with Halo 4 I pop in Halo 3 and I'm good again. Unlike any other Halo game, when I get mad at Halo 3 I do not just get offline. No other game has that effect on me where I still want to keep playing after I get angry. Halo 3 > Halo CE > Halo 4 > Halo Reach Excluding Halo 2 because I've never played it online, ODST because I can't fairly compare it to games with a matchmaking system, and Halo Wars because it's in another genre entirely. I'm thinking about getting Halo 2 to play via XBC; I have Halo 2 on the PC but there's an established clique there of 30 something people and I don't want to intrude.

Hmmm.... Reach's customs are in--blam!-ing-credible, but 3 has less aim assist.... I dunno. Can't speak on two or CE because I've never played their MP. ODST is the best in its own way.

Halo 3: ODST -Campaign -Firefight -Complete Halo 3 Multiplayer
-
I don't think any Halo game had the best of everything, they each shone in some aspect. Halo CE was original and new, and set the standard for many fps games. Halo 2 brought in an online multiplayer that was being played up until the moment it shut down. Halo 3 had an amazingly balanced multiplayer, and a campaign that I could play over and over again. Halo 3: ODST had a great campaign and did firefight very well. Halo Reach brought greater depth to the multiplayer and beefed up firefight and custom games. Halo 4 had a great story that pulled in knowledge and events from the books. Halo Wars shouldn't be on this list, because it was so different. It tried to pull the rts genre onto console, which isn't easy to do. My favorite Halo game would probably be 3, but just because it was my introduction to the series. I spent a ton of time in it, both in the campaign and in the multiplayer, and I haven't spent nearly as much time in any console game since, with the possible exception of Skyrim.

Halo 3

Halo 2. I played more Halo 2 online in the one year I had XBL (old account) than I did with Halo 3 and Reach combined since they came out. I also played (had more fun) way more custom games in Halo 2 despite it not having Forge.
-
CE is everything to me since that was the first Halo game I've played. So much memories
-
Because we're going to compare Halo Wars to the rest of the series.
-
Reach is where it's at c:
-
For me it's a tie between Combat Evolved, 4 and Wars.
-
Either reach or 3.
-
Reach or 3. I had the most fun on those two.
-
Halo 3, easily.
-
Halo 2- Almost everything Halo 3- Forge and Goofy custom games Halo 2+Forge+Custom Games= EPIC
-
Tough question for me. I liked Halo 3's multiplayer much more than Reach's but I feel Reach had the most to offer in terms of features. I think I'm going with Halo 3 because I enjoyed it the most.
-
Halo ODST had the best campaign but I did like halo 3s multiplayer but I also though halo reach was an amazing way to end bungies halo campaign. I can't say because it's so hard to choose which one was better than the other since their the best games in the world
-
Halo Custom Edition.
-
H3 is, overall, the best Halo game, IMO. The campaign lets H2 down and the MM lets Reach and H4 down so...
-
halo 3
-
I like halo 2 the best, if it would have had reach's forge world and firefight it would have been just perfect
-
well im split between halo ce and halo 4 Halo ce changed fps games on consoles 4ever but im probably gonna have to go with Halo 4 seeing as they made sprinting a default ability unfortunately spoiler alert cortana dies at the end excluding cortana's death it is the best game of all halo events
