I'm guessing this means the world of Destiny will be almost the same between consoles, just that texture resolution and particles (and the works) will be lowered for current gen consoles, while the next gen consoles will get the shiny stuff.
Could this mean cross-platform between 360-720 and PS3-PS4 is possible?

I'm sure the current-gen consoles will suffer more than just graphical differences. The game engine probably runs smoother on next-gen systems, and the next-gen system's architectures will probably make it easier to handle large worlds populated with lots of people. The differences won't be oblivious and game-breaking, but they'll definitely be noticed by next-gen players watching the game being played on current-gen systems.

It definitely would be good if they did implement this feature. Most of my friends have a ps3 while I have an Xbox, So I know what it feels like to not be able to play with friends. At least with cross-gen support that would fix it a little bit for others.

I hope that's the case.

I make my prediction now: Ragethreads by Xbox 360 players complaining that Xbox 720 players have an advantage in multiplayer because of better graphics and resolution. Xbox 720 players will be called rich brats who are exploiting an unfair advantage and Xbox 360 players will be called poor ghetto kids who need to adapt.

Any Xbox to any PS is very unlikely in my opinion. However, I am holding out hope that 360-Infinity and PS3-PS4 is possible since they will be running on their same networks. Ah well, really hoping to hear more about this come E3. We shall see.... :)

Now I'm going to have to get the next box.

I'm hoping to see shared networks between same consoles. 360-Infinity and PS3-PS4. If anything because I don't want to be alone in the game on a next gen. Lol.

Maybe but I can't see Microsoft and Sony ending their pissing contest to make cross platform possible.
