I'm not switching to next gen until Destiny is out. And then I'm not taking it out of the disc tray until I have the sequel in my hands.

Then you'll be waiting a decade for the next Destiny game. Destiny is supposed to be designed to have a 10 year life span.

I think he meant the sequel promised two years after the original Destiny is released. There will be four Destiny games, and 1 DLC between each one. So yes, Destiny will span the next 10 years, but it will be done in several installments.
