Destiny Fan-Fiction: Moderator Style

I was bored and thought I'd attempt a first time fan-fiction of my own with a moderator spin on it. Thought I'd share with Bungie and the Community. The stories tell of a golden age long ago when our civilization spanned the system. It was a bright and hopeful time but it didn't last. Something hit us, knocked us down and tried to stamp us out. No one knows exactly what but we do know this, very few of us survived. And those who did owe their lives to the Traveler. Legends say the Traveler sacrificed itself to save us. The mysterious sphere still hangs where it made its last stand low above the earth keeping silent watch. The years that followed the collapse of the golden age were hard. But slowly we joined together to build a city beneath the Traveler. And now we have begun to venture back into the wild only to find that we are not alone. Strange and deadly creatures have occupied our old worlds and they are pressing hard against the city; probing for a weakness trying to stamp us out for good. Your story begins at this moment of great adventure and peril. You are a guardian of the city. A soldier able to weld some of the Traveler's incredible power. If you can find a way to save the city to reclaim all that we have lost you will be come Legend. If you fail the last light of civilization will go out. [ Fade to a secured situation room ] Two unnamed and sober moderators kept silent watch in the foyer that evening. Legends and guardians they were of the old golden age. More and more moderators filed past them as they entered the situation room. Everyone knew it was an urgent meeting. An historical moment in time was about to be made. [ Dr. Weird brings cake. Cake! ] As all were finally situated around the round table everyone became quiet as the legend himself walked in. He was called, DeeJ. “As everyone knows what I am about to tell you is highly classified. Absolutely nothing that is said here tonight will leave this room. Do I make myself clear?” said asked. [ Silence. ] “I said do I make myself clear!” He forcefully said. “Sir. Yes, sir.” The room echoed. Good. DeeJ then began by, “As you know before the end of the golden age something hit us. No one knows what. Tonight I am asking you why? Why do you think know one knows.” “Well, you know that my team has been collecting data from an undiscovered radiation zone outside the city. There are highly concentrations of “tears” in space-time in this area. Not just at this location but everywhere around the world. But getting back to my point. I am think that there is a connection between these occurrences and populated city.” Evilcam responded. “You are correct, sir. We have been monitoring your data collection extensively.” “I have sent my own team out as well. What we have found out is that near each 'tear' there is usually a body near with the same characteristics as the tear itself.” DeeJ said. “So, you are saying they died because of the space-time tears themselves?” One of the moderators asked. “Basically, yes.” DeeJ responded. Dazarobbo responded, “So, you are suggesting that they have found a way manipulate atomic particles?” “Yes. The data shows that they phased portaled themselves into the exact mass of their victims.” DeeJ responded. "How did you find this out? What evidence do you have?" True Underdog demanded.
