I think this would be fantastic at getting supplies closer to troops in a firefight (though, getting captured could be a likely problem) but I think for a forested ruck march, it would flop. In most other cases, a vehicle does a much better job.

Cool experiment. On the downside, it's too clunky, too awkward, too slow, too loud, and too much of a target for it to be of any real use in a combat support situation.

Big dog is pretty advanced, I have to hand it to Boston Dynamics for coming up with their gyroscope auto-stabilizing systems. Although the path finding stuff is more common.
