Jetpacks might seem fun to the casual gamer but.... as a competitive gamer when jetpacks are in the game it makes it almost impossible to hold a setup on a map because jetpackers can come from so many angles....I vote no....we made that mistake in reach lets not do it in this game. We should be rewarded for playing the map well and not die from some retard that jetpacks 1000ft in the air and shoots a rocket.
We should be rewarded for playing the map well...
Instead of blaming the jetpacks, why didn't you accept that they were simply in the game and play accordingly? It's a simple matter of not letting the jetpackers have the rockets and watching the sky, which is what you would've been doing if you were 'playing the map well'. IMO, jetpackers are the easiest enemies to kill, because they are stuck in a predictable arc through the sky with no cover, leaving themselves incredibly vulnerable.

This is an accurate response. There is nothing wrong with jetpacks in competitive play. The problem is with the player. You can't think in more directions than you're used to. You get so used to only having so many incoming directions that you can't combat someone coming in a different way than you've planned for in the past. Essentially, you're the problem if you think jetpacks are ruining competitive play and map control - it simply adds another new dynamic that you're not used to.
