I still don't understand why no console game gives us the option to set up our controller schemes ourselves, rather than use pre-set ones.
EDIT: How I'd set-up my controller:
X- Jump
O - Crouch/Prone
⃞-Interact/Reload
∆ - Swap Weapon
R1 - Fire
R2 - Grenade
L1 - Aim Down
L2 - Equipment
RS - Melee
LS - Sprint
D-Up - Power 1
D-Left - Power 2
D-Right - Power 3
D-Down - Power 4
This is assuming the D-Pad is for our characters powers and abilities, of course.

I imagine that would be rather difficult to do for a console. They would (or microsoft or sony) would have to make a software that would allow players to do that, and i think that would be very difficult.

Murder miners a indie game on xbl has custom controls. It is possible I dont know why more devs dont do it.

Edited by iGraviton: 4/25/2013 12:54:44 AMI'm primarily a PlayStation player, so I wouldn't know. Regardless, just another example of how it's possible.

Like i said, i don't know. It would be a good idea. Maybe it is to hard to do, or maybe they just arnt interested in it. I would assume since its possibly that they would make it possible for games.

Custom control schemes are a function of the game developer, not the console manufacturer. Fallout: New Vegas has customizable controller schemes on the Xbox, and I'm sure it's the same on PS3.

Hmm, maybe it wouldn't be hard then. I don't know. I'm fine with how they do the controls anyway, mostly.
