Space and Planetary Coexistence
Imagine if you will a starry sky above the Tower. As you look up into the moonlit sky you notice a shooting star, and then an entire meteor shower. I think that would be great to see in a game, but let's take that one step further. As you are on the ground looking up someone is above watching the same blazing rocks light up the sky. Who knows, maybe you could even fly with them, watch out though, you wouldn't want to get hit. I know that last part is a longshot but that is half the fun about the months before Destiny is released; pure speculation. What would you like to see on planets, in space, and everything in between?

That would be incredibly cool, you could also have the observer on the ground become involved too I.E the meteors could sometimes become meteorites crashing to earth and leaving temporary craters in the landscape (these could undergo erosion over time becoming less distinct and fading away). This kind of interaction could also apply to other cosmic events.

Totally something I hope is in the game. It would add a lot to the over all immersion and the sense that you are in the world with more people than just yourself.

Cosmic events would be amazing. I really hope that Bungie goes all out to make space an absolutely amazing place to explore with your ship. Nebulas, meteor showers, stars going supernova and derelict spaceships PLEASE! :)

1 Replyi like the idea of a crashing ship with survivors (enemy and friendly) if they are enemy maybe we can attack them or they can attack a friendly base which we can defend and scavenge for some parts for us to make good use of.

4 RepliesI just wish they included a Halo ring(will never happen) I always wanted to ride something to the other side of ring. I always wanted to go further into the ring. Explore its every inch...sigh. When I go to lala land I'll be able to do it, I guess.

Seeing things happen in space while on the plant would be like a movie (onlive) (XD) i was hoping a battlefront 3 game would do this first.. A mmo fps. But bungie kills for the best! Love them. I was thinking... Have space battles above a plant while sending space carriers to drop off men and take the plant. That would be awesome just to watch... More epic then a movie! (Oculus rift! (3d)) maybe a D-Box? Lol

1 ReplyMaybe on next-gen consoles we will be able to fly with them. I doubt current-gen could handle that. I can see this becoming an event that Bungie would announce upon start-up and a message sent to your phone notifying everyone when it would happen. Everyone that's in destiny and players on their mobile devices would watch it together. The players in-game would be able to fly with the meteors. That is what I think they should do, if they are able to implement this into the game.
