My favorite scene^
There is only one Lord of the Ring. Only one who can bend it to his will. And he does not share power!
As for my favorite movie, I can't decide :/
-
One ring to rule them all One ring to find them One ring to bring them all And in the darkness bind them

Fellowship of the Ring has always been my favourite of the LOTR films. My favourite scene would have to be either the one following Gandalf's fall where they escape the Bridge of Khazad-Dum with Howard Shore's divine music driving the scene, or Boromir's death at Amon Hen. Favourite quote is easy, Gandalf's speech with Pippin about death in Return of the King. Sir Ian absolutely dazzled me with this speech.
"End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take... The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back and all turns to silver glass. And then you see it... White shores and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise."
The Dark Lord does not share power.
-
Asks about my favorite LoTR movie. Puts The Hobbit in there.
-
YOU SHALL NOT PASS.

Edited by Spooter: 4/21/2013 9:48:46 AMThough the Two Towers lacked the quality of the other two, it has probably the best scene of them all, and in my personal opinion... Probably one of the best scenes in the history of Cinema. That speech, it just hits me where right in the heart, gives me hope for the future. Truly words to live by.

The part where Sam carries Frodo. Couldn't have a better friend than Sam.
-
I don't really like LOTR that much, but this was my favourite scene.
-
"You won't get by!"
-
The best quote ever.
-
The Fellowship of the Ring.
-
The books are better than the movies.
-
The Fellowship of The Ring. It was perfection.
-
I once would've said unhesitatingly that ROTK was the best film, but now, having watched them a few more times, I'd go with TT. For my scene from the films, I'd probably go with either: 1. Theoden's pump-up speech and the Rohirrim's charge. I have never seen anything in film that reliably gives me chills like that. 2. "You shall not pass." Heck, pretty much the entire Moria sequence was just unbelievable scene to unbelievable scene, and to have this top it off was mind-blowing. I decline to pick a quote. Too many brilliant ones in the books and too many impeccably delivered ones in the films.
-
My favorite scene was Sam's Speech in The Two Towers, Overall I like The Fellowship of the Ring a little bit better than the other two.
-
An Unexpected Journey is not a LotR movie. But anyway, Two Towers is my favourite movie. Quote is also from this movie: "It's in the beards" Favourite scene is from AUJ: The riddle game.
-
any scene with gothmog
-
Not one simply does not walk into Mordor meme? I am impressed flood.
-
The Two Towers is probably my favourite, just because I love the whole Rohan focus. One of my favourite scenes is the bit where Éowyn kills the Witch King. "No man can defeat me!" "I am no man!" *Stab*

Edited by Raptor: 4/18/2013 12:51:35 PMThey are all in my top favorite movies of all time but Gandalf describing death to Pippin in "Return of the King" is incredibly touching and just makes you feel good. It wasnt in the book though, I dont think i will have to go look but I dont remember it...
-
Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise cannot see all ends.
-
Fellowship's my favourite, the other two drag on a bit too much for my tastes. "Nobody tosses a dwarf" is the best quote and the bit where Gandalf is battling with the Balrog in Two Towers is the best scene.
-
The Two Towers. That scene when Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli first enter Rohan.
-
"And I smote his ruin upon the mountainside..."
