How do people still not know to tilt their smartphones horizontally when shooting a video?
-
DAD PLEASE GET OUT OF HERE I CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING That explosion made me jump, -blam!-.
-
Holy shit! I was watching the video and was not expecting that!
-
Why would you get that close to a burning fertilizer plant, especially with your kid! Ammonium nitrate is the stuff that was used in the Oklahoma City bombing, you don't want to be close to a large amount on fire. This guys an idiot, and very lucky.
-
The Murrah Building bomb had much more than ammonium nitrate in the back of that Uhaul truck. Even so, by itself it's still a very dangerous substance given the right conditions.
-
It's was mixed with fuel to make the reaction better but the base fertilizer still holds a lot of energy.
-
To be honest, I don't think most people would have expected raw materials could make an explosion of that size. I wouldn't have thought it would have unless it was specifically made to be a bomb. Not everone has a strong background in chem.
-
Still, why bring your kid to a large fire?

He was like a quarter mile away...
