How many of you just like the idea of finding a gun and making it your own?

I mean sure, a crafted gun would be better, but there's just something about stumbling upon a unique (Not rare unique) weapon on the floor, buying ammo for it, and making it your own "companion".

  • I like the idea, simply. Moreover I don't want to see what happened in Borderlands 1 & 2 happen in Destiny where there are a handful of power guns that end up being coppied and handed around. I like the idea of a gun growing with you, that you find a set up for a type of gun that works for you and you stick with it. I'd like to see customization options that allow you to maximize things like recoil reduction if, a variety of optics, suppressors, triggers (auto, semi, burst), barrels, stocks. I think what could make a really interesting gun concept is that your guns have AI, perhapse you can purchase a variety of types of AI who coud be of varying complexity. The longer you stick with an AI the more atuned it becomes to your play style and it levels up with you providing various upgrades (R.O.F., ammo types, faster reload, faster scope in/out, electronic warfare capabilities). You could apply the AI to helmets... I know this is getting dangerously simillar to Cortana, but I don't think they got everything they could have out of her, or couldn't because of tech restrictions. I'd like to see an AI that plays an active roll. The better your AI, and the higher its level the more it can do for you, and the more effective it becomes. The Best AI's learn more quickly, can multi task, and fulfil mor sophisticated functions. An entry level AI would be more specific, offensive AI that tracks targets and manages amutition, a defensive AI that manages shields and administers first aid, a Recon AI that extends sensors and provides cyber warfare capabilities. An advanced AI might eventually do all of the above, in time.
