Personally I love it. I really enjoy the gaming community on the internet. Gaming is getting more mainstream, which some people may not like, but I think it's cool how families are all playing Nintendo together now. It hard to find someone who's never heard of Super Mario or Pokemon.
So I think gaming is a big part of our culture now, and I feel pretty happy to be a part of it. I just wish some people were nicer online, that's my only gripe about other gamers.
What do you guys think?

Yes i agree but there is nice people online but they can be hard to find. The worlds a cruel place and we need to make the best of it.

Sometimes. Other times I feel ashamed that I'm of the same species as other "gamers", not to memtion the fact that game companies try to suck all the money that we have in our wallets.

There is only one difference, but Kirito from SAO doesn't believe there is any from life and in-game. The difference I see is that only so many people can appreciate who you are within a game, but the world can appreciate how you define yourself within "reality." So my answer is Yes, I do enjoy being a gamer. But I wish to define myself within the confines of reality also.

It's about 50-50. I'd consider myself the most hardcore gamer in my group of friends, in that I probably play more than most of them. Despite this, I'm still not as bad as some other gamers out there, and I definitely have not denounced the outside world just yet. I'm gonna' be hiking 200km in the Basque region this summer with all my gear on my back. I'm not as fit as I would like to be, but I'm working on it. It irks me that gaming seemed more attractive to me than sports, which of course is good for fitness. I eventually gave up the only sport I enjoyed, but gaming was definitely not a reason for that, that's another story for another day. It also irks me that it seems to get in the way of my college work and other stuff. Even when I'm not playing games, they manage to suck up my time indirectly through browsing B.net. But do I like being a gamer, overall ? I suppose so. Who knows what I would have done in my spare time if I didn't have games. Drugs, anti-social behaviour ? I got some good friends out of it, and B.net seems to be a pretty cool place when you get past the trolls and hate.

I love being a gamer, Ive been gaming for as long as I can remember. Normally I don't tell people I'm a gamer since most people see gamers as a bunch of nerds with no lives, but regardless of what people think it has never stopped me from gaming.

That's a difficult question that makes me imply many things as to what you're actually asking Do I like being perceived as a gamer? That also depends on how one perceives a gamer to be, so I don't know, probably not Do I like gaming? Yes, I do, do I like playing the games of this generation? Hardly

I loved it pre-New Hawtness. Flood was awesome, and there was no flamers against Halo. All this website is filled with people who hate Halo, and are waiting for Destiny.
