People who think that David Tennant is the be-all and end-all of Doctor Who's quality make me sick, not only because of the ignorant disregard for [i]decades[/i] of the show's history but also because he really was not a very good Doctor [i]at all[/i]. Good episodes were an absolute rarity, he had these constant 'go to' reactions to everything which was either "OH YES", "BEAUTIFUL" or some-such, and by Series 4 he'd outstayed his welcome and the stories began to drag even further down in quality with the same monotonous, crushing sense of depression because he can't accept his regeneration. His [i]good[/i] episodes out of the 60-something he was in are few and far in between. Series 2: - Tooth and Claw - Girl in the Fireplace - Idiot's Lantern - The Impossible Planet/Satan Pit Series 3: - Gridlock - 42 - Human Nature/Family of Blood - Blink - Utopia Series 4: - Planet of the Ood - The Doctor's Daughter - Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead - Midnight - Turn Left Most of the others are utter abominations, does nobody remember Fear Her or Love and Monsters? And they claim that this was the [i]pinnacle[/i] of the show? Bullshit. With Matt Smith (who comparatively, even 3 years into the role, still feels like he has a lot of places to go with the character) it's easier to point out the bad episodes because the good ones [i]far[/i] outnumber them - those being Victory of the Daleks, Vampires in Venice, Curse of the Black Spot, Night Terrors and Dinosaurs on a Spaceship. Don't even get me started on the 'much beloved' companions like Rose... [i]ugh[/i]!
