What have I realized after being in high school? Popularity is trivial and that success is counted sweetest by those who work hard.

- I meant the current wealth dictates the current amount of success/looks - By dangers I mean the usual such as drugs, violence, and etc. but a wider variety today compared to how it was in the past, yet it is still deemed to be a cool thing to do. - That is true. I don't think I'll be able to look until after school is over, where I live there is a great diversity of girls that isn't good in any way. - Glad someone else agrees with me.

Our culture is succeeding at brainwashing kids into believing this false notion that doing good in school is a bad thing and that receiving failing grades and hitting yourself up with crack is hilarious when in fact it's not. Our society has started this perpetual downwards spiral where no one really cares about achieving success anymore. Our American spirit has been lost, and the government only continues to squeeze every last bit of pride we have in our country. Sometimes I just wish I could move out to the Alaskan wilderness and just live on my own with a love of my own without any noise around. Sadly both prospects seem like they are far off in the future. I just wish that I could get away from all of this madness. I wish I could say I'm proud to be an American but we've become so polarized under our current president that the entire nation acts so childishly towards their domestic opponents. /rant
