Do you think the new Evil Dead will be the scariest movie you've ever seen?

I love the original movies and the complete slapstick humor coupled with the slapstick horror with Bruce Campbell hamming it up. This new Evil Dead looks pretty intense on the trailers, but the scariest movie you've ever seen? Some of the Japanese and 1970's Horror might say something differently to that statement. What's your top ten scariest movies and are you seeing the new Evil Dead and does it matter you to you if it's a remake? For me these are my top ten horror movies. 1. The Exorcist 2. Alien. 3. Night of the Living Dead. 4. The Shinning. 5. John Carpenter's The Thing. 6. The Ring 7. Audition 8. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 9. REC 10. Deliverance. There's a lot of runner ups from In the Mouth of Madness, Slither, Splinter, Tale of Two Sisters, there's some greats out there.

Dat creepy girl, man; dat creepy girl. Me I've seen just about every horror movie known to man so it's hard to pull a favorite out of my hat. But much of what's on your list would be on mine. REC for one kicks the ass out of Quarantine but I wasn't much a fan for REC 2 which I sided with Quarantine 2. The thing is while REC and Quarantine share an original and remake relationship, the sequels branch in their own directions. I just liked the direction Quarantine 2 took better; was more original.
