Do you think this game will be dumbed down to a T rating to appeal a broader audience?

I can see Activisionz forcing Bungie to do that.

  • I don't care if it might get a T for a broader audience; I'm sure Modern War4 is gonna take away most of the twelve year olds. As long as there's no Kinect gimmicks or avatars, it won't be that bad.

  • If you look at the user survey the drop down menu for age goes to 13 or 14. Which means it'll probably be T.

  • Well, if you look at Halo, there really isn't a good reason why it deserved the M rating. There was very little blood, almost no swearing, and no sexual themes, drugs, or alcohol. The reason it got an M rating was the Flood, and the only reason Halo ODST, Reach, and 4 are rated M is because they are Halo games. A T rating means that Bungie can make the exact same style of game, just without the dismemberment that occurred with the Flood. A game doesn't have to be overly bloody or vulgar to be great, Halo taught us that.

  • i was under the impression that in these days... even putting a gun in your game gets you the M rating

  • I really doubt it. Even if they did, who cares? The rating doesn't define how good the game will be, the game itself does that.

  • T rating means forcibly using Kinect

    • Since when is a T rating 'dumbing' a game down? That's silly. While having a T rating does limit grittiness, which is unfortunate and I would prefer Destiny not to have to hold back on, that doesn't mean gaming concepts or anything will be 'dumbed down.' It just means less gore and no overtly sexual themes and the likes.

    • As long as the dialog is appropriate for the universe, it wont bother me if there isn't ketchup flying out of bodies.

    • Pretty sure it was said somewhere that they were trying to make it a 'T' rating.
