I enjoyed the original 3 games the most, I have succesfully beaten 2 and 3 100%, but the first game is impossibly hard to obtain all the gems. The ones that came out after Naughty dog stopped making the series (with the exception of the GBA titles) just didn't feel the same. Even to this day I can still play them and have just as much fun as I did 10+ years ago.

The most annoying thing with Crash 1 is that there were alot of levels where you had to go on invisible platforms, taking incredibly leaps of faith, and you would only really think to do that if you already new about them. Invisible platforms are just really cheap.

I know what you mean, though the main reason I still can't complete the game 100% is because in order to obtain a gem in a level you had to break every crate in a level without dying, on the earlier levels that's not so bad, but on a level like 'Slippery Climb' it's a nightmare.

Also that. They expect you to explore every inch of already hard levels without dying. And when you do, you get an ending which isn't even canon to the series.
