I'm a PC gamer...but I'll be honest...I'm really excited for these new consoles (if Sony is teasing the PS4). Why am I excited? Cause you guys may not think this, but it's true, consoles are holding back PC gaming. Sp with these new consoles....PC gaming won't be held back again...at least not for a little while.
Who else is excited?

The PC market has never been as large or financially successful as the console market, the two are quite different from eachother. The only way that the console market may have hurt the PC market is by converting PC gamers into console gamers, but that goes both ways.

[b]PC:[/b] With the amount of storage you can get for it. A game download would hardly take up any space. [b]PS3:[/b] Has those Bluray discs. 25GB single. 50GB duel. 100GB triple. 150GB quadruple. [b]Xbox 360:[/b] Uses the DVD format which holds about 8GB duel. If it wasn't for the 360's DVD format we would have games that are far larger than what they are. Because the Bluray and PC storage gives developers a lot of room to work with. But they have to limit the scale of the game because of the 360's DVD dormat. To me games like Skyrim would have been far larger than what it is if it wasn't for the 360.

This has got to be the PlayStation 4 announcement. Anything less will be a huge disappointment.

I'm really excited to see the new hardware and games. On a side note, this will be my first true* next-gen launch as an adult-- the 360 and PS3 both came out while I was in middle school, and I've graduated from high school since then. Whee! *I mean hardware-wise. I do believe that the Wii U is next-gen, but more in terms of how it provides entertainment rather than by impressing with enhanced technology.
