Another suggestion - Watched / Followed Topics
So, we already have the option of being notified when someone replies to a topic we've created... What about having an option to be notified of replies to a topic that we're interested in? Maybe I didn't create the topic and maybe the replies aren't to me directly, but I'm still interested in following the discussion.
This could be a separate option, or could be integrated with the "Like" functionality that already exists... What do you think?

If (when?) the saved threads feature returns I think that would probably be the best place to integrate a system like that. Any time a thread that you've saved is replied to you get a notification. If you have a lot of saved threads you could have the ability to turn on and off notifications for individual threads that you have saved.
