Joey's funny Jack Handey quotes are now replaced with mindless jibber-jab polls about 'who think blah blah is annoying'...tsk tsk tsk
-
I did not know that happend. Right now it is hard to find what has been posted. Everyone in the forum should realize this and be respectful of those extra posts, because we know there are alot of them. No one should be getting bashed especially poster who are worth their weight in gold. So Joey don't feel bad continue to post.
-
Yeah, I feel sorry for Joey. People shouldn't bash him like that.
Posted by: The Rip Saw You mean to have respect? It depends. JoeyBagaDonuts had over 500 posts before he was widely respected, but Banshee Barron was probably respected around 200 or so. The difference here was quality. JoeyBagaDonuts joined up and posted a lot of stuff that was stupid. No offence Joey. Banshee Barron, however, was always posting relevant stuff so he got respect very fast. Shatterstar climbed up quite quickly, because he was very mature, at times. It's not really a matter of posts, but of post quality. But don't let anyone tell you post quantity doesn't matter, because it does. The numbers don't matter, but if you only post once a month, no one will know who you are. Being in a chapter helps too. There are polls going on aboout people I don't even know, but are active in chapters. That's why I started posting in the Septagon, so I could get to know these people. Oh, one more thing. Make about 1000 posts in a day, and you'll no longer be a member. You'll be the most hated person here. You'll technically be less than a member though.
Amen Amen Amen But don't hate on Joey Rip, you should know better than that What's sad about Joey is that he hesitates to post in here because of these people trying to bash him down for saying something, which he didn't know, that was already posted before; I won't say names, cus that's not my style, but you might know you I'm talking about... Although I hate to use the word 'respect' in a FORUM, there is a lot of DISRESPECT going on that doesn't even get noticed Where did Shatterstar go anyway...he was the first guy that I got into a Flame Fight with when I joined Bungie.net
-
who cares anyway? Giving ranks would give people more of a reason to spam... EXP. those who think the high ranks make you "cooler"...
-
Have you guys noticed first: there is already a thread like this and second: you guys are doing what you just talked about, wsting space and putting up needless post (oh look at that, I got another post!)
-
Posted by: SketchFactor We have talked about the possibility of a "ranking" system (for lack of a better term) but I assure you if and when we do roll out something like that, it will NOT be based on post count. Instead it's going to be much more selective, possibly even literally hand picking people, based on their contributions to the forums.
Don't rank people in order. Just make like 3 or 4 categories or something. I would hate to see people actually ordered, one guy being better than another. My $.02
-
The idea of ranking is much better than title by post count ... Nice
-
Right now, post count means NOTHING. There's absolutely no point in running up a post count with pointless spam. We have talked about the possibility of a "ranking" system (for lack of a better term) but I assure you if and when we do roll out something like that, it will NOT be based on post count. Instead it's going to be much more selective, possibly even literally hand picking people, based on their contributions to the forums. We will never do anything that encourages people to try and inflate a number which would drag down the entire forum. This sounds like a great addition to the Forum FAQ!
-
I dont realy care .... its just that title add something to a forum
-
Amen hehe, the status is basically just to distinguish between staff and members really. *runs back to shrine*
Posted by: Suge Knight Yet some people think that if they have a high post count they are almighty or something.
They do. I've seen it. It's become like a religion in this place- and it needs to stop. [Edited on 4/15/2004 7:25:53 AM]

Post count means absolutely nothing, you guys. Nothing.

Why does it suck?
-

You can't be anything other than "member", unless you're an employee or moderator. - Reiginko
-
That did not answer my question

Posts don't matter- quality does.
