I like it quite a bit, and I think the tag based system is a stroke of genius. It may take some getting used to, but it provides some powerful advantages over a classical forum system.
For example, having a customized view of the types of topics I care about, rather than having to navigate through 3 distinct forums. Also it's so scalable it's not even funny; if Bungie came out with 8 games tomorrow, the old system would mean 8 new forum sections, 8 new menu items that had to be maintained, in however many places you can access them. Bleh.
With this tag based system, however, if Bungie came out with 8 new games tomorrow, all they'd have to do is create 8 new tags, then bam! Done.
Lastly, being able to mix and max tags means relevant conversations to subjects A and B can share a unified space; if something belongs equally in the 'community' as it does the 'universe,' there is now a way to reflect that.

Definitely, Bungie has gave us users much more control over the website than the online team. It's actually great!
