If 4 is like CE on this...

With a new chapter about to unfold, I have to think back. If 4 has the same "It's up to you" alone-ness of CE's Chief and Cortana, the magic might return. What do you need to get that old familiar feeling back ?

And of course the weapons and bodies falling through the elevators.
Maybe it's a Xbox thing. If you pick up a weapon in Halo 2 Vista campaign, it never disappears (I've had Tartarus deload/Elites stop spawning because of this).
This is because the Xbox has a "Max FPS policy". Its a silent rule enforced so that the Xbox doesn't lag in any games, and why devs go to painstaking lengths to ensure their games don't lag. The PC, on the other hand, can do whatever. While it is a pain (the despawn counter in H4 is 14 SECONDS, and its obvious its like that to cover for the ridiculous power weapon spawns in multiplayer), it also gets devs to make sure they don't muck up their game. On the PS3, BLOPS 2 has significant frame rate issues with later rounds of its zombie mode. This lag is non-existent on the Xbox.
Sadly this fail safe you bring up (and I never knew about) means it's much harder to overload maps in the newer campaigns. :/ And yeah, the weapons disappear way too quickly in H4. They ought to at least disappear when I'm not looking instead of when I'm inches from them.
Thank you. I'm literally pressing the button to swap for them & they're gone. And could they please make grenades a little less available ? (Not that sticking is physically possible in the game...These enemies have the widest legspans in the history of the universe...let's not even mention the chicanery that goes on in Spartan Ops... At least Campaign is vaguely consistent.)
But... but I like sticking them!
Posted by: TH3_AV3NG3R Exploration. The feeling that you landed on something very alien like, like the first time you stepped on Halo. Damn just thinking about that makes me want to play the campaign again. Too bad, Halo 4 didn't do that. You instead dropped into something very plain, all the way through orange and/or grey(except for that avatar. Oops I mean forest level), then you had all the help from Infinity. Is it just me or do the campaign levels seem linear? That QTE at the end was very anti-climatic. I hope that Bungie won't do anything stupid like that in Destiny.
Honestly, the third person shots in the vidocs and trailers made it out to be better than it actually is. Requiem is quite dull. You walk out of the cave and see that Forerunner tech in the distant than you turn and come across a bunch of hideous rocks. Campaign NEEDS Theater to be truly wonderful. I feel trapped. :'( Edit: you dare attribute dullness to my likeness?! :o Btw I still have that request of yours in mind. It might take me a while to get it on film since I don't got a capture device atm. [Edited on 01.06.2013 6:43 AM PST]
