• *soft smile* I’ve been meaning to post this story for quite some time, but never quite found a reason. Now, you’ve given me just that. I can honestly say that Halo is responsible for bringing my fiancé DarkAugustNight and I being together today. I am by no means a child, belonging to the over 25 gamer category. Until Halo 3, I was never much of an on-line player, sticking to LAN parties and games with my friends and brothers. It was always the story, not the multi-player, that enchanted me about the Halo-verse. Pretty much everyone in my friend circle knew me to be an obsessive Halo fan, which they found amusing for a girl. *wry grin* Well, I decided to go up and visit some friends across the state for a few days, having not seen them in some time. As it turned out, a fella upon whom I had been crushing for years lived with them. I’d always liked him, but things never seemed to work out to bring us together. Until that weekend… when I was talking about my Halo addiction. He politely asked me if I’d ever seen Red vs. Blue, to which I of course answered that I loved ‘em. He invited me up to play some Halo and watch some RvB that he’d downloaded from the Marketplace… and the rest is history. We’re getting married on the beach some time next year, and an almost daily part of our life is an hour or so of Halo 3, even to this day. Halo was the thing that finally brought us together, given that he had always liked me but was too shy to say anything. I believe fully that if it wasn’t for the fact that he was a Halo freak too, we probably never would have gotten to know one another, would never have had the chance to fall in love, and would not now be living a fairytale, frag-style. To be honest, I owe you fellas everything, as without this amazing game my life would not be the perfect wonder that it is today. Halo, seriously, is what brought my fiancé and I together, and I will be forever grateful. ^_^ -Raven-
