  • Well i have a story that i always seem to write about for school essays just because there is so many ways i can relate to it. I met a family of halo players that truly did change my life and just the way I look at things. But the one who changed me the most was a girl in that family that I will never forget. I first met her in a custom in halo2 a couple of years back. We didnt talk much because at that time we did not now we had anything in common. I didnt really start talking to her until we both got an xbox 360 and we used the private chat feature quite alot. After many hours of conversation i relized how much me and her actually had in common and really id never met a girl like her. Eventually we played Halo and became rivals. As time passed we got alot better and alot closer. At one point she became sick and couldnt get on halo as much as she would normally so her parents allowed her to give their number to me. They were willing to allow long distance calls just so that she could keep in touch with me, and this just made me feel great. Overtime i got the chance to get aquainted with her brother, dad, lil sister, cousin, and even her mom. because all of them played Halo. Eventually it got to the point where we were discussing ways i could meet her. I somehow managed to work something out between my parents and her parents and i got the chance to travel across the country to meet her. It was the 1st time i had ever gone out of the state on my own and boy was it an experience.I got to stay with her family and everyday there was something new and they were definetly the best days of my life so far. They lived in a mountainous area which i have never experienced before. I got to try many new things and I just fell in love with the area's climate. Me and her became best of friends and I even got the chance to visit her again during the winter so that i could experience a new climate. It was so much more exciting than dull old Texas. Of cource when it got too cold we went inside and played the most intense games of halo customs to have ever been played. Everyone in the house was amazingly skilled. I had a great time being with her and ill never forget her. She taught me to ignore the bad things in people She taught me to make friends no matter what their like She taught me an entire new way to live life and im going to carry on this way of living for as long as i can She did more for me than I could ever do for her So I thank her very much Hard to believe that any of this happened to me. And the biggest surprise of all is that all of this happened, but im still a little short from being 16 yrs old
