You can't just scream one point really loudly in an attempt to drown out all the others. We have NO IDEA how the forerunners defeated them. It could have been pot luck or the precursors could have been retarded. But don't just assume they're retarded because it fits your arguement. Also since I have to go now I'll also say this: I'd leave races like the precursors out of it because we don't know enough about them to state their combat potential aside from the fact that they are obviously very powerful.
