Furthermore, if it hadn't been for Miranda's insistance he would have prevented her chasing after Regret. In [i]Halo 3[/i], his strike on Truth's keyship is a pathetic failure. Then he opposes the motion to go through the Portal to the Ark, and stays at Earth - he doesn't hinder the Gravemind's passing through the Portal, and doesn't send reinforcements through later, after it becomes clear Earth isn't under threat. He's incompetent, and it doesn't surprise me in the least that he's only a puppet of Parangosky.[/quote]The same reason why people like Rtas Vadum (who ran off from combat in almost all of his appearances in Halo 2): memorable quotes. Or merely the fact that he appeared in those games. Capt. Keyes was way more badass.
