It also bugs me that most technical awards aren't even presented. They're just given out and put on a line of scrolling text in between advertisements.
There are some funny things, but I am just so over the slapstick.
They don't care about gamers and they don't care about the games. Hell, I'm sure they don't care about the awards. So why the hell should we?
I am so happy that Bungie wasn't there.

That's a valid point. At least they're giving the developers respect(Though I guess you could argue the minds behind Spike programming might not be the best people to receive respect from) I will make an argument for some of the parts, having the full orchestra play soundtracks from the games nominated was a nice touch.
