If I went to live in the Middle East where Christianity isn't nearly as widespread then I wouldn't see any Christmas trees at that time of year. If someone from there came to a Western nation then they may take it offensively because the Trees are EVERYWHERE and they don't have a choice. I see where they're coming from, even though it doesn't bother me, but I'm not in a position to judge.
