Does having a Christmas Tree in public really offend anyone???

I see this every year that people get offended that there is a Christmas Tree in like a town square, a public office, etc. It is now becoming more "politically correct" to say happy Holidays and saying "Merry Christmas" is becoming offensive. Isn't that a bit silly? It amazes me that people actually protest to have Christmas Trees removed from these places saying it offends them. How does a Tree offend you? Thanks for pointing it out. That still doesn't do anything to my argument because both the representatives of the House and the Senate are both elected by the people.
