Does having a Christmas Tree in public really offend anyone???

I see this every year that people get offended that there is a Christmas Tree in like a town square, a public office, etc. It is now becoming more "politically correct" to say happy Holidays and saying "Merry Christmas" is becoming offensive. Isn't that a bit silly? It amazes me that people actually protest to have Christmas Trees removed from these places saying it offends them. How does a Tree offend you? If you still don't believe that this nation was founded on Christianity now... Yes, constitutionally the USA doesn't endorse any single religion, but if you look at how many of the founding fathers were Christians, the two religious revitalizations that have occured (which were chiefly Christian), and the pure fact that Christmas is celebrated as a national holiday, Christianity is everywhere in America.
American society is based heavily off Christian norms, but our nation was founded off secular concepts.
Right, that's all I'm saying.
