Pokemon X and Pokemon Y announced for 3DS
Nintendo has announced Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for 3DS, the first handheld mainline Pokemon set in a breathtaking 3D world, for a worldwide release in October 2013.
The game features new starters Chespin (grass), Fennekin (fire), and Froakie (water)

Just one game makes it a $160 tag, and no one is going to buy just one game for a new system, because then you're essentially paying $160 for one game. That price will be closer to 200-240 by the time you get the system and enough games to make it a worthwhile investment.
